Thank you for visiting Forget Me Not, my name is Katie. I am a full-time working wife and mother of three who has experienced pregnancy loss. My first pregnancy loss was in May of 2018, I was just shy of seven weeks. I went on to have two healthy pregnancies that gave me my son and daughter. When my husband and I tried for another, I suffered another loss that was later diagnosed as a Complete Molar Pregnancy in August of 2021. The most recent loss was a chemical pregnancy in May of 2022. In February of 2023 we had another son. Six pregnancies, three living babies.

With all of my losses, I sought connection with others through the internet. With my first loss I found lots of quotes that helped with my healing process. "Quote Therapy" I call it. However, with my second loss being a molar pregnancy, there weren't many quotes to relate to. Hell, there were hardly any stories out there to connect and relate with. Many of the stories I read were worse case scenario (cancer) stories. I was totally freaked out. I only know of one other person personally who has experienced a similar loss. Molar pregnancies in the United States happen to 1 in 1,000 women.

Due to the rarity of molar pregnancies I thought about starting some form of blog or support group to raise awareness about molar pregnancies. Then I decided to have the blog be about pregnancy loss in general, all types of loss. 1 in 4 pregnancies will end in loss.

Pregnancy loss is so difficult for obvious reasons, you lost your baby. You lost your hopes and your dreams for your future that comes with your baby. Your pregnancy and your baby deserve to be honored; you have a right to share your story and your journey. So many women suffer in silence.

If you ever need to talk with someone, please feel free to reach out.

I am no expert by any means, but I am always willing to listen. It has become a passion of mine to make others feel less alone in their journeys.
